Obituary for Regina Alice DeMeyer
Regina Alice DeMeyer was born on March 29, 1932, in Rural Ghent to Charles Louis and Mary (Cauwels) DeMeyer. As a child, she moved with her family to a farm near Marshall in Sodus Township. Regina attended country school and graduated from Marshall High School. She was a caregiver to her mother and to other family. Throughout her life, she worked at different places including cooking for local nuns, the senior center, Best Western and Schwan Food Company. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, crocheting, making puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.
Regina died on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at the Patricia Court assisted living in Marshall. She is survived by her siblings Genevieve (and William) Sammons of Marshall, Albert DeMeyer of Slayton, sisters-in-law Ramona DeMeyer of Springdale, OH, Joyce DeMeyer of Brooklyn Park, brother-in-law Benny Benson of Marshall and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Edward and Norbert and sister, Irene Benson.
