Obituary for Mary Alice Eatros (Wilson)

Mary Alice Eatros (Wilson)
Mary Alice (Wilson) Eatros (the daughter of Benjamin Herschel Wilson and Anna Marie Wing) was born in Lyon County on November 10, 1929. She was 86 years old. Mary passed away peacefully at Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall, MN and was granted her angel wings entering heaven’s gates on May 2, 2016.

Mary was raised in Lynd, MN with her family of 10 siblings. She was a beautiful, strong, loyal, and caring woman who loved her family and friends dearly. Mary was married to James Eatros, Jr. (the son of James Samuel Eatros, Sr. and Marguerite Jane Hutchinson) on June 21, 1948. The couple welcomed five children into their lives, who brought them great joy, fulfillment and happiness over the years. Mary was very talented at dancing the evening away and embraced her talents by sharing this passion with many others. She also enjoyed bowling on numerous leagues in her earlier years. A few of her other many talents include baking, gardening (pink roses), sewing, and hardanger.

Mary, alongside James, were respected leaders in the community of Marshall, MN and were partners in the ownership and operation of the Minnesota Café for over 20 years. Later they co-founded Marshall Realty and were blessed by all their customers and colleagues until they relocated to Estero, FL where they enjoyed their retirement.

Mary is survived by her children Donita (Robert) Dahm, Scottsdale, AZ, James (Deborah) Eatros III, New Ulm, MN, and Doug (Debra) Eatros, Carlsbad, CA. Mary cherished her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Her siblings include Marvin (Joanne) Wilson, Winona, MN, Twin-Sister Marie Walters, Marshall, MN, Glen (Peggy) Wilson, Willmar, MN, Doris Dandurand, Klamath Falls, OR, Ronald (Linda) Wilson, Red Wing, MN, along wither her many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, sons Keri Dean Eatros and Alan James Eastros and her siblings Dale, Dick, Mike, Jerry, and Reuben Obe.

We will celebrate Mary’s life on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Rehkamp – Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall, MN, followed by a small grave-side ceremony for the family at the Marshall Cemetery, then a reception at the Adult Community Center, 107 S. 4th St., Marshall, MN, starting at 2:00 p.m.
