Margaret Miller (Christenson.)
Margaret was born on July 11, 1926, in Galchutt, ND, to Henry and Ella (Bardahl) Christenson. She lived in Galchutt, ND, Appleton, MN and Marshall, MN. Margaret was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. On August 4, 1946, she was united in marriage to Verlyn Miller in Appleton. Margaret worked as a sales clerk for a variety of women’s clothing stores including Elan, Ehlers, Cooks, LaVogue and the Deutz Sisters’ Boutique. She was a past member of the Zion Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary in Appleton and the First Lutheran Church in Marshall where she was active in the choir, circle and quilters group. She also volunteered at the Marshall Hospital Gift Shop and enjoyed knitting, especially afghans and dish cloths. For the last years, she has been living in Henderson NV. Margaret died at the Merrill Gardens in Henderson on July 4, 2017.
She is survived by her children Susan (and Dick) Van Ryn of Naples, FL, Kathy (and Jack) Leedom of Henderson, NV, Lindsay (and Mark) McFadden of Naples, FL; grandchildren Chelsea (and John) Stecker, Danielle McFadden and Isabella Faith; siblings Doris Nelson of Rockport, MA, Helen Larson, formerly of Appleton, MN, and other survivors Paul and Ardis Larson and family, Julie and Ron Johnson and family, the late David and Beth Larson and family, Mark Nelson, Patti and B. Pike and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Verlyn Miller, sisters Alene Christenson and Helen Larson, nephew David Larson, brothers-in-law Leslie Larson and Ernie Nelson.
