Jim is survived by his wife, Denise, of Marshall, children David of Sioux Falls, SD, Stacey of Wichita, KS, mother Mary of Webster, SD(who passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2010), Uncles Jim of East Helena, MT, Howard of Webster, SD, and Steve of Grand Island, NE, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Denise:
Our sympathy to you and your family about Jim's death. I have memories of many good times spent with JC during our years at SDSU (especially 1980 when we lived together in the basement apartment). Fighting cancer for three years must have been a tough battle. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
We heard about Jim's death from Rich Foster last week in Britton. We were back home as my mother passed away Feb 6th. Peace to you.

Denise,
We were so sorry to hear about "JC". Carol Henkel called and told us last night. I had no idea of the battle your family was fighting. We have many fond memories of our college days and the fun that we had together. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please extend our condolences to Mary also.

Good evening, Denise and family. Carol and I want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as you travel the next part of your journey, this time without Jim. We wish we could be with you tomorrow as you, your family and friends celebrate Jim's life and the wonderful memories you have made together. I know that Jim would say that no one promised that you and he would be together forever. And, I believe he would say that he wants you to celebrate the memories you've made and to focus on taking care of each other in the future. If there is anything we can do as you move forward, please let us know. May God comfort, continue to bless and guide you in your future. Richard and Carol Slieter

Denise and Family,
We've never met, yet I've thought of Jim over the years, and wondered how he was doing. We met and were friends during our Senior year of High School. As usual, we lost touch when we went our separate ways. I now work for Wells Fargo, and heard of Jim's passing. My sincere sympathy regarding your loss. Jim chided me years ago, that "life is full of good intentions". In other words, get out and do what you intend to do, and follow through on what you say you're going to do. I hope you have great memories of him, following through on his good intentions.

To The Christopherson Family:
The last time I saw "Jimmy" was at my aunt Yvonne's funeral. It was so much fun to see him again after so many, many years. My deepest sympathies to your entire family at this time of loss. But know that Pete, Mary and Jimmy are all together again, with no more sickness or pain. Your family will continue to be in my prayers.

My sypathies to your family at this difficult time. Our family's connection to Jim and his parents goes all the way back to when my mom baby sat Jim. What a fight he has fought these past 3 years. Jim was such a source of strength for our family 1 1/2 years ago when my dad went through his own battle with cancer. What a blessing Jim's visit was.

May you be comforted by God and his grace as you go through these difficult days. Best source of comfort is knowing this is not the end.

God bless you.
